1 Instruction for use
For Multi Gas 110. Gas consumption 75 g/h, heating effect max. 945 watts. For use with 250 g /
8 oz. soldering bit No. 1300001059, 245 g / 12 oz. No. 1300001058.
IMPORTANT: Read these instructions carefully and familiarize yourself with the product before
fitting the appliance to the gas cartridge or cylinder. Review the instructions periodically to main-
tain awareness. Retain these instructions for future reference. This appliance shall be used ex-
clusively with ROTHENBERGER gas cartridges or cylinders. It may be hazardous to attempt to
fit other types of gas cartridges or cylinders.
2 Safty Information
Ensure that the sealings (1) are in place and in good condition before fitting the gascartridge /
cylinder.
Never use an appliance with damaged or worn seals and never use a leaking, damaged or mal-
functioning appliance.
Always change or fit the gas cartridge/cylinder in a safe place, only outside, away from any
source of ignition such as naked flames, pilot lights, electric fires and away from other people.
If you have to check the gas soundness of the appliance, do this outdoors. Do not check for
leaks with a naked flame. Use soapy water only.
If there has been a leakage you have to be extra careful and evacuate the gas by ventilation.
Note that LP Gas is heavier than air. Therefore it can easily accumulate in trenches or below
ground level.
Never leave the appliance unattended when lit.
This appliance consumes oxygen and must only be used in well ventilated areas - min. 5 m
3
/h.
Use the appliance on safe distance from walls and other combustible material.
3 Handling the Appliance
Be careful not to touch hot parts of the appliance during or after use.
Storage: Always unscrew the gas cartridge/cylinder from the appliance when not in use. Store
them in a safe dry place away from heat and out of reach for children. Never store gas contain-
ers in basements or other places underground.
Do not misuse the appliance, or use it for anything for which it has not been designed.
Handle the appliance with care. Do not drop it.
4 Assembling the Appliance
Ensure that the regulating knob (2) is turned off (turned fully clockwise).
Keep the gas cartridge/cylinder (3) upright when fitting it to the appliance valve.
Place the valve adequately on top of the gas cartridge/cylinder valve.
Turn the cartridge valve with fine control valve slightly open in the hand grip. With an au-
dible gas leak close immediately and the fine adjustment valve cartridge further tighten
slightly. This will help prevent damage to the thread.
Ensure that a complete gas seal has been made. If you have to check the gas soundness of the
appliance, do this outdoors. Do not check for leaks with a naked flame. Use warm soapy water
only, applied to the joints and connections of the appliance. Any leakage will show up as bub-
bles around the leakage area. If you are in doubt or if you can hear or smell gas, do not attempt
to light the appliance. Unscrew the gas cartridge/cylinder and contact your local dealer.
Assembly/adjustment of solderingbit (5). When the hexagonal bolt (6) on the windshield is loos-
ened the soldering bit can be changed or turned and then locked in the desired position with the
bolt.
The solderingbit (5) can be replaced completely by unscrewing the hexagon bolt (6). The sup-
porting leg (7) can be folded back completely.
Note: The solderingbit is hot after use!
